LFC CODE OF CONDUCT


Breach of any Code of Conduct:

Any Breach of the set Codes of Conduct will be referred to the LFC Committee – and resolved via the Grievance process set out LFC Constitution


Code of Conduct: Coaches/Administration

  1. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all individuals involved at LFC and NFL including refraining from any discriminatory practices on the basis of race, religion, ethnic background, or special ability/disability.
  2. Abide by and teach the AFL Laws of the Game and the Rules of NFL
  3. Be reasonable in the demands made on time commitments of the players in my care, having due consideration for their health and well-being.
  4. Refrain from any form of personal abuse or unnecessary physical contact with the players.
  5. Always have due consideration for varying maturity and ability levels of players when designing practice schedules, practice activities and involvement in competition.
  6. Stress and monitor safety always
  7. In recognising the significance of injury and sickness, seek and follow physician's advice concerning the return of injured or ill players to training
  8. Endeavour to keep informed regarding sound principles of coaching and skill development, and of factors relating to the welfare of my players
  9. At all times display and teach appropriate sporting behaviour, ensuring that players understand and practise fair play.
  10. Display and foster respect for umpires, opponents, coaches, administrators, other officials, parents and spectators.
  11. Ensure that players are involved in a positive environment where skill learning and development are priorities are not overshadowed by a desire to win.
  12. Reject the use of performance enhancing substances in sport and will abide by the guidelines set forth in the AFL DRUG POLICY.

Code of Conduct: Players

  1. Do not engage in practices that affect performance and abide by the guidelines set forth in the AFL DRUG POLICY.
  2. Play by the rules – the laws of the game and NFL by-laws
  3. Do not verbally abuse or harass officials, players, members & supporters.
  4. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of fellow players, coaches, officials, members and spectators.
  5. Don't use ugly remarks based on race, religion, gender or ability.
  6. Do not use social networking sites such as Facebook & Twitter or any other sites to bully, racially vilify, defame, belittle or make derogatory comments.
  7. Refrain from conduct which could be regarded as sexual or other harassment,
  8. Be honest and committed to your attitude and preparation to training. Work equally hard for yourself and your team.
  9. Care and respect all club facilities & equipment.
  10. Maintain a high standard of personal behaviour at all times whilst representing LFC and NFL

Code of Conduct : Members

  1. Respect all players, coaches, umpires and spectators – physical or verbal abuse is not tolerated.
  2. Respect all volunteers who are giving up their valuable time.
  3. Never publicly abuse umpires or officials – raise personal concerns with club officials in private.
  4. Don't use ugly remarks based on race, religion, gender or ability.
  5. Do not use social networking sites such as Facebook & Twitter or any other sites to bully, racially vilify, defame, belittle or make derogatory comments.
