We are pleased to welcome Steve Velicki back to the Bloods as Reserves Coach for next season.
There are many football families at Lalor and the Velicki’s are right at the pointy end. Steve’s mother Vicki is a life member and was on the committee for 16 years and had several roles including team manager and scoreboard attendant. Steve’s father Mario played 5 seasons at Lalor in very successful teams in the late 80’s and early 90’s.
Steve arrived at the Bloods in 2000 as an excited 8 year old playing U10’s and continued his junior career at Lalor playing his first Senior game at 17. Steve won a B&F in the U19’s team, was the League’s leading goalkicker and played in the Diamond Valley Football League’s representative side. Steve started coaching under Dave Russell and is looking forward to driving his own team. Steve’s defensive game will work well with Angelo’s brand of footy and the club is looking forward to seeing them work together.
