The Lalor Football Netball Club is pleased to announce the appointment of our 2022 Senior Head Coach, Angelo Lamanna.
Angelo has a vast knowledge of our great game following a long and successful career in football. After nearly 10 years in the VFA with Box Hill VFA, where he won Best and Fairest and Oakleigh VFA, he moved to Division 1 club Monbulk in the Yarra Valley League where he captained for 2 years and lead his team to a premiership win.
Angelo’s coaching career started at Bayswater in 2007 with him quickly progressing through the ranks and landing coaching roles at Division 1 Clubs Croydon Football Club and Lilydale Football Clubs which played in the Eastern Football League. Following this, he moved to Olinda Ferry Creek Football Club where he enjoyed finals success over a 3 year period.
The extra string in Angelo’s bow is he coached Dandenong Ranges and Eastern Football League junior interleague teams and Casey Demons, coaching juniors on AFL pathways. In these roles, Angelo worked with AFL coaches running drills, tactics and game plans designed for AFL advancement. This area alone will give Lalor an advantage over other clubs heading into 2022!
Having recently moved to the Northern Suburbs he is excited to begin a new journey at Lalor Football Club in 2022.
The Lalor Football Netball Club congratulates Angelo on his appointment and welcomes him to the Bloods family. Hopefully, we will be able to get down to the club sometime soon to meet in person.
