2022 Senior Assistant Coach Appointment Announcement***
We are pleased to welcome back Daniel (DJ) Ray to the Bloods as a Senior Assistant Coach for next season.
DJ started playing for Lalor in 2011, making it his home for 130 games. During his time at the club, he coached the Reserves side for 2 seasons and served on the Committee for 4 years. During that time, he was awarded the Mrs Kernaghan Award for “Best Club Person”. During DJs 10 seasons at Lalor, he won Best and Fairest as well as finishing in the top 5 a total of 8 times. DJ also achieved 2nd & 3rd in the league Best and Fairest vote count.
DJ is looking forward to working with the newly appointed Senior Coaching team, as they all share a defensive style of game play. He is keen to bring back passion and respect to the Lalor jumper and with his links to past players, he’s hoping to bring back some of that winning attitude.
