ROUND 18 – LALOR LEGENDS GAME

The year draws to a close what can be best described as a significant season in the history of the Bloods.

The LEGENDS game brought with it some added interest and sparked the boys to play some inspired footy in the seniors… Special mention to the blokes who ran around – Sore as could be a hobbling aroiund weary legged, the lads backed up to man the BBQ for the junior finals and one voluteer ever walked the ground picking up rubbish after the matches were completed.

Whilst on-field success alluded us for most of the year, the club has consolidated itself off-field and assembled a group of genuinely good people to take this proud club forward – laying the foundations for future on-field success. This is a true reflection of the success we are building off-field.

Special mention must also go to the coaching & playing group who have shown remarkable resilience & commitment throughout the year… despite some heavy defeats, the playing group has continued to develop throughout the year, none-more-evident than last week’s performance against finals contender Laurimar – going down by 25 points (a vast improvement on our 154-point defeat in Rd 7).

This week we have a genuine opportunity to finish-off the year with a win when we take on Heidelberg West at their ground, followed by our vote count back at the clubrooms (see below).

To all our members & supporters – thanks for you continued support throughout the year – we still have some remaining events before the years ends, most notably our AGM which hope to have maximum attendance. Also, stay tuned to our Facebook page & website for all off-season news & announcements as the club works towards coming back bigger & better in 2019…. GO BLOODS!!

Vote Count at the clubrooms! Open invite to all members & supporters to attend. Hear all the votes over a beer and pizza’s and find out who will be in-line to take out the Gary Kinna medal?

Saturday, 25th August:
Presentation Night @ Olympic Hotel!…. Our final function for the year bringing to a close a busy and eventful season. Will there be a new Life membership inductee? Who will win Mr Kernaghan award? Mrs Luke award? … all will be revealed on the night. Tickets will available on-line at: www.bloodsfnc.com.au/store

Annual General Meeting (AGM) September (date TBC, more than likely Saturday, September 22 between 10-11.30am
