LFNC PRESENTATION NIGHT 2018!
A long season has finally come to a close and it was celebrated in style at our Presentation Night at the Olympic Hotel. The night was an opportunity to acknowledge and thank ALL of our volunteers & players; and a special few received extra acknowledgements for their efforts in 2018….
INTRODUCING OUR NEWEST LIFE MEMBER INDUCTEE:
Congratulations to Mathew Radcliffe on receiving Life Membership to the Bloods. Matty has been actively involved at the footy club for 25 years as a player & committee member and has been a true leader of the club, accepting & excelling in executive committee and on-field captaincy roles throughout his 25 year involvement at the club. The survival and success of our club is due to the character & integrity of people such as Mat Radcliffe and it is for this reason that Mat has been awarded Life Membership of our proud club…… Congratulations Matty you are a great servant to this club & a deserved Life Member recipient!
MRS KERNAGHAN AWARD:
Named after one of our founding members – the Mrs Kernaghan Award is the highest individual honour that can be achieved in a single season and it is awarded to somebody who has worked tirelessly to keep the club running throughout the year. This season it was an obvious choice….. congratulations to Stamatiki “Toula” Metaxiotis on receiving the Mrs Kernaghan award for 2018.
Toula was an inspiration for this football club throughout 2018 and plugged holes wherever needed: Scoreboard, Timekeeper, Thursday night meals (…. along with our lovely Anne Radcliffe!), cleaner, manning front gate, Bunnings BBQs – you name it-she did it …. even safely getting the players to CQ nightclub on a Saturday nights !!

MRS LUKE AWARD:
Another prestigious award named after our other founding member – the “Mrs Luke Award” is for outstanding service to the club and in 2018 this was awarded to none other than club stalwart Silv Baldasso. Much like Toula, there wasn’t too much Silv didn’t do in 2018….. bar man, player, BBQs and all-round good bloke. Silv is a mentor & inspiration to our young players who hold him in the highest regard…. Congratulations Silv – you embody all that is good about local footy and ouir football
PRESIDENTS AWARD:
Another prestigious award to win at our fantastic club is of course the presidents award an in 2018 the presidents award was presented to Stephen “Petch” Petruccelle! Petch has been a blessing to this club for 2018 as a very helpful volunteer and even better club man. Stephen also helped out throughout all of the junior finals and all Bunnings BBQ fundraisers and even after Petch made a highly anticipated comeback to play in round 17, 2 hamstrings and a calf strain still didn’t hold the great man from being at Lalor Reserve Sunday morning 8am to help out with the BBQ. We love ya Petch and we thank him for everything he has done over the years and that’s why he was awarded this years presidents award!

Now to the team awards!
First things first, Massive Congrats to Dave Petsinis for getting 1 vote against Heidelberg West! Dave is a big fan favourite and couldn’t of been any happier for him!!Starting from the reserves our top 3 best and fairest finished off with;

3rd – Scott Sandy & Daniel Ray (DJ)
Coaches award – Jonathan Hinsley
Leading Goal Kicker – Vito Mesiano
(Silv Baldasso was a close 2nd falling 2 goals short!)

A fantastic night over all for the club.
Just quickly I would also like to thank the 2 major men behind this football club in Benjamin Charles and Matthew Busuttil. Without you two legends we wouldn’t of even had a chance this year and we can’t thank you enough for what you have done and look forward to keeping the momentum rolling for a bigger & better 2019!

Special mention to the Olympic Hotel for letting us host our Presentation at there venue for another year and thank you to everyone for attending.
OUR ANNUAL AGM WILL BE HELD AT LALOR RESERVE (24 SYDNEY CRESCENT, LALOR) ON SUNDAY 23RD SEPTEMBER AT 9:45 AM FOR A 10 AM START!
