Let’s start with a positive note – the club hosted one of its most successful functions ever last weekend – with our $5000 mega draw being attended by close to 200 people and the board a COMPLETE SELL OUT…!
In a season that has provided plenty of challenges, the members, supporters and players have never waived from the commitment we can control and Saturday night was another great example of this.
Comedy duo “The Nelson Twins” offered plenty of laughs, whilst the coach did the same on the dance floor… special mention to Nicole, Toula and Silv who worked tirelessly on the night.

This week we’re back home to take on Mernda, followed by live music after the game with Gary Eastwood (see below)
On Field, it was obviously another tough day at Panton Hill last weekend.
On field, The seniors were jumped in the first quarter and were never in it – going down by a solid 100 points. Whilst the Reserves went to sleep in the second quarter letting the opposition kick 7 goals to nothing, unfortunately making their competitiveness in the other quarters futile, going down by 12 goals in the end.
Our young bloods & coaching staff have been dedicated all year, however the long season is taking its toll as we head towards our final games – keep fighting the good fight fella’s – you have made the members & supporters proud this season.
UPCOMING CLUB EVENTS:
Saturday, 4th Aug:
Live music with acoustic legend Gary Eastwood from 5-9pm. This is a free event for all members to enjoy. Non-member $10 after 6pm.
Saturday, 11th August:
The “Final Siren” beer garden for all of our loyal “Red & White Knight” coterie members and “Bloodsmen” player sponsors…. This will be a relaxing affair with special marquee set-up for our valued members to enjoy whilst watching the Bloods in action.
Saturday, 18th August:
Vote Count at the clubrooms!. Open invite to all members & supporters to attend. Hear all the votes over a beer and pizza’s and find out who will be in-line to take out the Gary Kinna medal?
Saturday, 25th August:
Presentation Night @ Olympic Hotel!…. Our final function for the year bringing to a close a busy and eventful season. Will there be a new Life membership inductee? Who will win Mr Kernaghan award? Mrs Luke award? … all will be revealed on the night.
