Mark Cini player sponsorship program!

MARK CINI, PLAYER DEVELOPMENT SPONSOR PROGRAM.

Mark Cini, a former Lalor Bloods President and a prominent New Zealand businessman has been keeping a close eye on the BLOODS new era unfolding and as tactful observer from across the ditch, Mark is liking the direction Sydney Crescent is heading.

Mark has never been one to comment from the shadows and watch other work, he’s always got his hands dirty, rolled up his sleeves and found reasons, not excuses in life… This is another example of that.

Mark wants to be involved in the Lalor resurgence but, unlike a typical sponsorship platform, he wants more than promotion or branding and hospitality at club events… Mark wants his contribution to be about local development and to see it further enhance younger players that have committed to this season of development at Sydney Cres.

With a focus toward helping the talent emerge at our club, Mark has indicated he wants to develop a path way program… what a great gesture and fitting of a person of his stature amongst the local sporting landscape of the Northern Suburbs (And now, New Zealand)

Looking through a set of players and their credentials, Cini has offered his suggested his assistance is for players that are under 20 and progressing as senior players…

Based on

•           Games played the previous season,
•           Best & Fairest count and,
•           Pre-season training attendance and overall club passion,

As the director at Marketing Sport New Zealand, Mark has selected a fantastic young fella as this year’s PLAYER DEVELOPMENT recipient and his name is Jonathan McCartney.

Young Jonno came across last year from West Preston playing a handful of games in the under 19’s, previous to that he was at Wallan where he was a stand-out player.

Jonno played 10 senior games in 2017 for the BLOODS, in his 5th game at senior level against the Fitzroy Stars he was awarded the B.O.G (Best on ground) for the match and for the senior players below the age of 20, was the highest vote getter in the best and fairest.

As a package, McCartney now has is membership and playing jumper taken care of for season 2018 – Mark will be able to entertain guests and be a major part of the clubs re-birth as a BLOODSMAN.

We can see McCartney be a Lalor player for life and because of the stellar season he had last year, Mark feels as he should be rewarded with his commitments and loyalty to the club for sticking around after an extremely tough 2017 season.

Mark and his company are now linked to Jono as BLOODSMAN and we as a club hope that a few other life members or supporters follow this amazing example set by one of the clubs premiership presidents.

Congratulations Jonathan McCartney and also a massive thankyou to Mark Cini and what he is doing for the club!
