WELCOME BEAU RANIERI

7 Dec 2017 by Benjamin Charles

Beau has been involved with the club for a little over 4 years now and is excited about the new challenge ahead that includes the responsibility of bringing together the BLOODS playing group in 2018.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been this enthused about a season and with the new BLOODS direction right in front of us, I’m proud to play my role in making it all come to life”

It couldn’t be more rewarding for the club to hear home grown talent wanting to roll up their sleeves and find a way to get involved in the future of Sydney Cres Oval.

Suffering a ACL injury in 2017 that requires a full knee reco, Beau has been forced to the sidelines for the next 18 months but rather than finding excuses, he was one of the first to put his hand up, offering to support the coaching staff.

His role has quickly developed into a vital part of training and conditioning the players, focusing on reducing the soft tissue injuries that hampered the side of the majority of last season.

Senior coach, Dean Grainger said “The skill set and level of professionalism he is bringing to the group is exactly what’s needed… He is teaching the guys about their bodies and how we can avoid missing players through the year – I couldn’t be happier with the focus he’s been bringing to the table both on the track and after hours”

Having strong people within our club will be the major focus of 2018… The CULTURE column will be just as import as the wins & losses through the season, Beau is one example of the spirit that will help us strive rather than survive well into the future and see the BLOODS become the club we are aiming to be.
